  Richard Rodger, Prof. Dr., is Professor Emeritus at the University of Edinburgh. With an emphasis on urban landownership, legal, institutional and spa-tial factors, and a focus on property relationships and trust, including issues of inequality and injustice, he has sought to understand the underlying socio-economic forces shaping the development of towns and cities since c. 1750.
