Ein Plädoyer für kommunale Zeitpolitik

Abstract

Even if it is a commonplace that everything takes place in time and space, time as an analytical and design category is significantly underdeveloped in urban research and planning. Since the 1980s, the author of this contribution is focusing on the interrelation of urban spatial and temporal development. The contribution gives an overview over important publications that paved the way for the author’s own thinking and re-search. Key relations between time and space in urban contexts are described as a ba-sis of a plea for taking the systematic analysis of temporal issues seriously and make urban temporal policy an explicit part of the urban development agenda.
